ASHLEIGH RICHELLE (she/her)
Education: B.A. Cinema & Media Studies, Human Rights minor | The University of Chicago | Class of 2014 | SEE RESUME HERE
Compassionate. Self-Sufficient. Responsible.
This is the kind of leader, team-player and colleague you will find with me. I believe that compassionate and intentional communication is key to creating meaningful change in the world.
I’m a Communications and Media professional with 10 years of experience across storytelling, leadership, strategy, social media, video production, public relations, customer service, project management, website management, graphic design and more.
In addition to my Communications talents, I’m also passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts in tech and developing healthy workplace culture initiatives. As an alumna of Freada Kapor Klein's SMASH program and formerly the Communications Manager for SMASH at the Kapor Center, I live and breathe DEI and work everyday to fix the Leaky Tech Pipeline.
My additional strengths include having a strong EQ, being unafraid of initiating and/or facilitating tough conversations, and welcoming constructive feedback.
Film is my first love, especially documentary and essay filmmaking. I enjoy critical inquiry of the status quo and I advocate for diversity and inclusion efforts in tech and beyond. In my free time, I enjoy movies, stand-up comedy, cooking, yoga and salsa dancing.
